After an adrenaline filled zipline adventure, we headed our way to Whiffen Spit to get a beautiful view of Sooke Harbour. Since the Sooke Harbour House was located right next to the Spit, we strolled around their quaint property. Once touring the property, Si’s mind was quickly set on having dinner here regardless of our initial reservations at Fuse. His rationale was that I needed at least one foodie/gourmet experience during our trip, but his hidden agenda was to make it even more perfect for the event following the dinner.
We were seated at a corner table with a view of the ocean as the sun was setting. We both had the 4 course menu and we chose different items so that we could try as many dishes possible. The stars of the night were his scallops and my tomato soup. Everything tasted very fresh with flavor accents incorporated from the garden. I’ve read reviews of the service being a little slow, but I enjoyed the pace, which allowed us to relish the experience.
