Si and I thought we weren’t the type to just lounge around in a hotel. We’re pretty active in exploring our surroundings when we’re on vacation. However, our hotel stay in Phuket and our most recent stay at Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa made us appreciate and enjoy all the hotel amenities each property had to offer. Our last trip to Nha Trang was two years ago and we explored many of the scenic and fun sites around town. With more of a R&R weekend in mind to rejuvenate from the HCMC hubbub, we did not set an itinerary and decided to just “stay in.” We heard some great things about Sheraton Nha Trang from our friends from 9 to 5Travel and SumaLifestyle so we were excited for our weekend stay.
Though we had a side view of the beach, we could see the long strip of beach known as Vietnam’s most popular seaside resort town.
Sheraton Nha Trang has a gorgeous infinity pool on the 6th floor overlooking the ocean. There’s plenty of loungers to accomodate guests, and they have a full service bar and made to order eats to be able to spend the whole day poolside.
We stayed in the premium club room that had a walk-in closet and spacious bathroom.
We didn’t even leave the hotel for meals! Thus, we tried all the dining options available. After a delicious and filling breakfast buffet at Feast, we had a late lunch outside at Toastina cafe. Si had the delicious spicy sausage and mushroom pizza (pictured above) and I had a steak sandwich while we enjoyed the view. Try the cafe sua da here, it’s absolutely delicious with its subtle dark chocolate tones.
When we saw the gym, we knew we had to make the most out of it. Large glass windows overlook the Nha Trang strip and the machines are very well kept. The sauna and steam rooms were immaculate and so relaxing!
A trip to the beach wouldn’t be the same without some yummy crustaceans from the sea! We ate at Feast for the buffet dinner, which had a little bit of everything to cater all types of cravings. We especially enjoyed the seafood selection where there were tasty raw oysters, cocktail shrimp, and seafood choices to grill or steam.
Our other favorite was the sashimi and sushi rolls. By the time we finished dinner, we were the last diners there! Good thing we got that workout in before dinner.
This bowl of char siu and bok choy noodle soup may not look as appetizing than the seafood pictures, but this bowl of soupy goodness is special on its own right. Steam’n Spice offers fresh hand pulled noodles at their restaurant and the difference is noteworthy by the way we quickly slurped our meal to the very last noodle. The bowls of noodles we had were priced around 75,ooo VND, which is a pretty good deal for hotel dining.
We will definitely go back to Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa just for the gym, pool, and the super comfy bed in our room!
