Here’s the thing. A lot places come and go in this busy city of ours. Thus, it is honestly a delight when you go back to a place that’s still alive and kicking. Especially, when everything tastes exactly the same since your last visit 4 years ago.  I know, not going to a delicious spot for at least four years is a bit too long. But places can become quite a trek, if they are not within the regular route of your daily commute.

One of these gems is Quan Oc 63 and they serve the best Curry Crab in the city. Their outdoor sidewalk setup hasn’t really changed with their small plastic chairs and metal tables outside, but I am told on weekends their tables have expanded to across the street!

With tons of seafood options to select from, try a few smaller dishes like the sea snails in coconut milk, steamed lemongrass clams, and grilled scallops with spring onion oil before the main event. For the Curry Crab, make sure you get some toasted banh mi to sop up the delicious curry sauce as you carefully pick your way for the sweet crab meat.

The quan is only open from the late afternoon so don’t come for lunch!
